Long stroke and soft deceleration
Self-adjusting, soft contact performance
Energy capacity -
Stroke 25.4 mm
The ideal product for soft deceleration: The S in the model codes of the ACE S14 to S25 family products stands for "Soft Contact". These one-piece miniature shock absorbers can be equipped with either a linear or a progressive braking cam. Their soft damping characteristic is achieved through the specially long braking stroke, which produces extremely low rebound forces.
These maintenance-free, ready-to-install shock absorbers are likewise equipped with an integrated positive stop. With an eccentric adapter, impact angles of up to 25° are possible. Thanks to the design overlap of the effective weight ranges, these shock absorbers cover effective loads from below 1 kg to over 2,000 kg!
The S14 to S25 family products are widely used in mechanical engineering and are the first choice particularly in handling and automation applications.

Material
Outer body: Corrosion-resistant coated steel
Piston rod: Hardened stainless steel
Accessories: Corrosion-resistant coated steel
Technical Notes
Note: If a precise end-of-stroke stop is required, consider using the AH limiting sleeve.
Safety instruction: External material in the surrounding area can damage the seal components and shorten service life. Please contact ACE for a suitable solution recommendation. Do not paint the shock absorber, as this can cause heat build-up.
On request: Nickel-plated or weartec surface treatment (seawater-resistant) and other special surface coatings are available on request.
